Our Story

I'm Raj Hundal, founder of Venice Hybrid Tech. My journey with hybrid vehicles began over 20 years ago when I came to California from India, bringing with me a Master of Science degree and a passion for solving complex technical problems.

What started as a personal interest in these revolutionary vehicles quickly became an obsession. While others saw hybrid batteries as mysterious "black boxes" that dealers said couldn't be repaired, I saw an opportunity to help people save thousands of dollars.

I began experimenting, learning, and developing my own techniques for diagnosing and repairing hybrid battery packs. Word spread. One satisfied customer became ten. Ten became hundreds. Today, Venice Hybrid Tech serves customers in 25+ countries, but we remain true to our roots — a hands-on, specialized operation focused on quality over quantity.

2000

The Beginning

Arrived in California from India with a Master of Science degree. Bought my first hybrid vehicle in 2001, fascinated by this revolutionary technology.

2004

The Business is Born

My own hybrid died and the dealer quoted $5,000 for repairs. That was the moment everything changed. I repaired my own car, developed my first grid charger prototype, and realized I could help others save thousands. Venice Hybrid Tech was conceived.

2008

First Grid Charger

Developed the first production grid charger after realizing most hybrid battery failures were due to cell imbalance, not complete pack failure. Began helping local hybrid owners.

2012

YouTube & Global Reach

Started posting educational videos on YouTube. Videos went viral in hybrid communities. Began shipping chargers internationally. Venice Hybrid Tech officially recognized worldwide.
